Liverpool star Harvey Elliott says England fans booing Jordan Henderson was 'not nice to see' as he hails former Reds captain as a 'massive inspiration' on English football

Harvey Elliott was left ‘upset’ by the booing of Jordan Henderson from some England supporters but backed his former Liverpool captain to shrug off any criticism.

Gareth Southgate claimed that jeering the 33-year-old at Wembley defied logic after Henderson signed for Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League.

Elliott watched the friendly win over Australia while on Under-21 duty and echoed the England boss.

‘It's upsetting, it's not nice to see,’ Elliott said. ‘Hendo is a massive inspiration, not just to myself but to many around the world.
