Liverpool 'set to miss out on £17m bonus fee from Philippe Coutinho's exit with Barcelona playmaker likely to miss rest of season due to injury and 10 appearances short of invoking 100-game clause - with cash-strapped club keen to sell this summer'

Liverpool are set to miss out on a £17million transfer windfall from Barcelona due to Philippe Coutinho's ongoing knee injury.

Coutinho signed for the Catalan's in 2018 in a deal worth up to £140m, but has not featured for the club since being forced off against Eibar on December 29.

As a result, Liverpool are unlikely to receive the full payment outlined in the players contract as part of the deal included add-ons and instalments.
