Liverpool receive boost as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to training after missing the start of the season while Andy Robertson is back involved with the group

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has stepped up his recovery from injury by taking part in light training.

Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn't played this season because of a thigh problem but is now edging closer to a return to action.

However, there isn't any possibility of the 29-year-old being involved against Rangers on Wednesday as he wasn't included in Liverpool's Champions League squad.
