RB Leipzig have looked to play down Ibrahima Konate's prospects of leaving for Liverpool this summer with sporting director Markus Krosche insisting a switch to Anfield is 'not an option'.
Liverpool are hoping to finalise a £33million move for the French centre back as they look to bolster their defensive options following a difficult season at the back in which Jurgen Klopp has been without both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
But while noises on Monday were positive on a switch to the Premier League, Krosche has since come out to dismiss an exit for the highly-rated defender.
