Jurgen Klopp has refused to offer Daniel Sturridge any guarantees over his place in Liverpool’s squad if he stays beyond the transfer deadline.
The England international has not played for Liverpool since December 7, when he came on as a late substitute against Spartak Moscow, and wants to leave Anfield before Wednesday.
His preference would be a loan move to Sevilla, who have offered to pay all his wages, but Inter Milan are also keen to offer him a platform to revive his season.
Sturridge, who is in contention to figure against West Brom, wants a run of games so he can potentially force his way into Gareth Southgate’s plans for the World Cup.
