Jurgen Klopp has hailed ‘brave’ Rhian Brewster, after the 17-year-old Liverpool academy starlet claimed that racism is widespread in youth football, delivering a harrowing account of the abuse he has received in a recent interview.

His manager believes that Brewster, whose goals helped England win the Under 17 World Cup in India in October, has ‘done an important thing’.

‘I’m really happy he is brave enough to do what he did because it’s such an important thing,’ said the German.
