Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he is open to sending young players on loan in order to continue their development.
Klopp was shocked when he found, on taking over at Anfield in October, that 17 players were out on loan.
He said then that he felt it was more appropriate to nurture talent at home and was used to the German youth set-up, where his Borussia Dortmund under-23 side played in the third tier of football.
However, this summer has seen the Reds allow Ryan Kent (Barnsley), Jon Flanagan (Burnley), Danny Ward (Huddersfield), Ryan Fulton (Chesterfield), Adam Bodgan (Wigan) and Allan Rodrigues de Souza (Hertha Berlin) to leave on loan, signalling a change in Klopp's approach.
