Steve Heighway is a name most Liverpool fans under 30 associate with the glory days of their academy. After all, as director he helped to nurture some of their best and brightest talents over the last two decades.
But in his heyday, the left winger was a key player in the later years of legendary manager Bill Shankly's reign, winning four Football League titles and two European Cups over an 11-year spell.
With over four decades of service to the Merseyside club, Heighway is in a better position than most to know just how much the club has changed since the days of Shankly, be it for better or worse.
