John Barnes has claimed that the next football season should be axed if it means ensuring the completion of the current campaign.
Clubs up and down the country are frantically trying to find a solution to a crisis that has seen the football season suspended following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

However one of the options has been to void the current campaign so teams can begin preparing for the 2020-21 season but Reds legend Barnes believes it is the opposite approach that is needed to keep the integrity of the competition in tact.
