Scott Rogers' charges went into the fixture looking to put a narrow 1-0 defeat to Chelsea Ladies behind them, with the manager saying he expected his side to play at their highest level to be victorious against a resolute Sheffield Ladies side.
That certainly proved to be the case with a superb team display resulting in a 6-0 victory over their Sheffield counterparts.
The game saw Rogers make four changes from Saturday with Casey Stoney, Kate Longhurst, Ashley Hodson and Niamh Charles making way for Caroline Weir, Bethany England, Ellie Fletcher and Ashley Hodson.
Liverpool Ladies started the game brightly, with quick pass and move football helping them progress into the Sheffield half early on.
