Liverpool hit hard by 'FIFA virus' with key injuries during October internationals

Liverpool will resume their domestic schedule four players lighter following the October international break.

Centre-back Virgil van Dijk, midfielder Naby Keita and forwards Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah all returned to the club's Melwood training ground early to aid their respective recoveries.

Jurgen Klopp's side were already without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain due to a long-term knee injury and James Milner, who was substituted in the first half of the draw against Manchester City before the internaitonal break with a hamstring problem.

Though Liverpool suffered the most from the so-called "FIFA virus" in this international break, here is a look at the other top European clubs who will have to change their plans following injuries to their key players while on international duty.
