Liverpool have been put on red alert after learning Sampdoria are willing to sell Luis Muriel to a foreign club.
The Reds have been tracking the forward since March but originally it had been reported he would be staying put.
The Colombian has struck 10 times in Serie A and Sampdoria were reluctant to let him go over fears they would not find a suitable replacement.
However, according to Tutto Mercato, that stance has now softened and Muriel can leave this summer.
But the 26-year-old will only be allowed to move abroad as Sampdoria do not want to strengthen any of their Serie A rivals.
