Liverpool FC news: Mohamed Salah breaks Premier League records as well as defenders in four-goal masterclass over Watford at Anfield

Mohamed Salah is enjoying comparisons to Lionel Messi after bagging a record-breaking four goals against Watford on Saturday.

His performance in Liverpool’s 5-2 victory at Anfield also saw him provide the assist for Firmino’s finish.

For manager Jurgen Klopp, the £34.3m summer signing from Roma has proven one of his most prolific players, scoring an astounding 36 goals - the first time a Liverpool player has scored that many in their debut season - and he still has time to match Ian Rush’s record of 47 from 1983-84.
