Ian Rush says his former Reds strike partner Kenny Dalglish brought the people of Liverpool together after the Hilsborough disaster.
Dalglish was awarded a knighthood in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for his services to football and charity.
And Rush says he couldn’t be more deserving of the honour for his work supporting the families affected by Hilsborough.
He told talkSPORT: “He went to virtually every funeral.
