Liverpool FC news: Jurgen Klopp takes full responsibility for poor performance as young Reds team are held by Plymouth

Liverpool failed to overcome League Two side Plymouth Argyle earlier this afternoon, with it finishing goalless at Anfield in their FA Cup third round clash.

Jurgen Klopp named the youngester ever starting XI of a Reds side, confident his fresh team would prove too much for the Pilgrims.

Their performance, however, was one of the poorest the Anfield faithful have seen for some time, as Klopp's decision to place his trust in youth backfired.

The German coach, though, defended his decision to make 10 changes after witnessing his side put in a lacklustre performance in the 2-2 draw at Sunderland on Tuesday following a busy festive period.
