Joe Gomez will make his first Liverpool appearance in more than a year on Sunday.
The England Under-21 international suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in October 2015, shortly after Jurgen Klopp's arrival as Reds manager.
Gomez, a central defender or full-back, had enjoyed an impressive start to his Liverpool career after a £3.5m move from Charlton.
The 19-year-old returned to training in October and is now deemed fit enough to return for the first team against Plymouth in Sunday's FA Cup clash at Anfield.
"It will be his first game for a long time," Klopp said of Gomez.
