Liverpool FC in mourning as club legend Ronnie Moran dies at the age of 83 after a short illness

Liverpool legend Ronnie Moran has died at the age of 83.

The Reds' former player and coach, who won 44 trophies with his beloved club over almost half-a-century of service, passed away on Wednesday morning.

His son, Paul, revealed his father's death on social media.

He tweeted: 'I am devastated to tell everyone on behalf of the family that my dad passed away this morning after a short illness'.
