The transfer window was a success because:
Sadio Mane looks like he might already be the best player at the club. That may be premature and some caution is needed, as other players have made bright starts only to ultimately fizzle out (Nigel Clough and Stan Collymore spring to mind). But in his first few games Mane has looked sensational and initial fears that Liverpool had overpaid for him at £32 million now look to be unfounded, particularly given some of the fees paid by other English clubs for lesser players.
