Liverpool supporter Sean Cox will return to Anfield for the first time since he was attacked before a Champions League match against Roma in 2018 for Sunday's clash with Manchester City.
Cox was left with serious brain damage after he was attacked before the semifinal first leg. Italian Simone Mastrelli was jailed for three years for the assault.
Liverpool have worked closely with the 54-year-old and his family, even staging a charity match which raised £640,000, and Cox will be at Anfield for the meeting between the Premier League's top two sides.
We're delighted to welcome Sean and his family back to Anfield," chief executive Peter Moore said.
