Liverpool supporter Sean Cox remains in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked outside Anfield ahead of the Champions League game against Roma on April 24.
Cox, from Dunboyne in Ireland, was attending the match with his brother when he was set upon outside the ground by hooligans armed with belts.
The dad-of-three underwent major surgery after suffering a bleed on the brain and has been in a medically induced coma at Walton Neurological Centre.
His family have now released a statement on Liverpool's official website with an update on his condition and have expressed their gratitude for all the messages of support they have received.
