Joel Matip got an important 60 minutes under his belt for Liverpool Under 23s on Sunday in their 3-0 Premier League Cup victory over Ipswich Town.
Matip was given the green light to play again on Friday after FIFA dismissed the case against the defender following his dispute with the Cameroon Football Federation.
Jurgen Klopp named the centre back among his substitutes for Saturday's Premier League defeat by Swansea, with Matip coming on in the 89th minute.
And a day later he gained more valuable playing time by turning out for Mike Garrity's side in their comfortable victory.
