Liverpool 'confident' Trent Alexander-Arnold will be ready for start of pre-season... with club's physios hopeful thigh injury will only keep right-back out for a month after cruel blow ruled him out of England's Euros campaign

Liverpool are confident Trent Alexander-Arnold will recover in time to be ready for the start of pre-season on July 12.

The 22-year-old was ruled out of the Euros in cruel fashion after picking up a thigh injury late on in England's warm-up match against Austria, with it confirmed that he will miss the entire tournament.

However, while it will be likely be little consolation at the moment to the right back, the Mirror report that Liverpool's medical team believe Alexander-Arnold will be fine to report for the start of pre-season training.
