Liverpool close the gap! Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino on the scoresheet as Reds beat in-form Arsenal to move within a single point of rivals Manchester City in the Premier League title race

Liverpool closed in on Manchester City once again with a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday.

Arsenal headed down the tunnel the happier side at half time after holding Jurgen Klopp's side to 0-0.

But the Reds came out fired up in the second half as Sadio Mane threatened within the first minute before Diogo Jota broke the deadlock in the 56th minute.

The goalscorer was then replaced by Mohamed Salah, while Luis Diaz made way for Roberto Firmino who doubled the visitors' lead just six minutes later as he nipped the ball past Aaron Ramsdale.
