Liverpool boost after Mohamed Salah scan results confirmed

Salah was forced off during the closing moments after being caught on the left ankle by a challenge from Leicester substitute Hamza Choudhury.

The Egyptian has subsequently undergone scans on the damage with the Reds having waited for the injury to settle.

And it has emerged the forward did not sustain any major issue as a result of the tackle, which only earned Choudhury a yellow card.

Salah suffered a twisted ankle in the challenge, and while there is no timescale set on his return, Liverpool are hopeful there is no long-term damage.

With the international break having now started, the Reds are not in action again until the trip to Manchester United on October 20.
