Liverpool have appointed Jonathan Power as their new club doctor and he will begin the role before the Premier League's resumption.
It follows an extensive search following the departure of Dr Jim Moxon back in the summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp involved in the process.
Power, who comes from West Derby in Liverpool, previously spent over four years as the England men's team performance medicine doctor between 2017 and 2021.
Prior to that, he was team physician to the England under-17 side that won the World Cup in 2017 and the under-19 team that claimed the European Championship that same year.
