Bayern Munich have confirmed that they have reached a £38.5million agreement to sign Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.
The Bundesliga champions' chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed earlier this month that they were battling Liverpool and Chelsea to sign the French defender.
But the German side have beaten the Premier League duo to the 22-year-old France international, who has agreed a five-year deal at the Allianz Arena.
'I can confirm and we are very happy about that at FC Bayern,' Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic told BILD.
