Midfielder Boyd became the League Two club's youngest-ever debutant and goalscorer when he netted against Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy on September 8. He was 15 years and 324 days old.
Grimsby manager Ian Holloway then handed Boyd his league debut with 20 minutes off the bench in the 1-0 defeat at Walsall on September 12.
