Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign 15-year-old Bury defender Emeka Obi but the move is being held up over visa issues, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.
Obi became Bury's youngest ever player when making his first-team debut this season aged 15 years and 86 days in the win over Morecambe in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Liverpool scouts were alerted to Obi's potential and have moved quickly to agree a deal with the League club for the central-back to head off interest from their Premier League rivals.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to revamp the club's youth setup and is planning to take a hands-on approach to try to help the club bring their own players into the first-team.
