Liverpool ace Sadio Mane and Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy are among Premier League stars included in Senegal squad for AFCON with injured Ismaila Sarr to join up later

Senegal have announced their squad for the Africa Cup of Nations with Sadio Mane and Edouard Mendy making the cut as expected.

The Liverpool winger and Chelsea goalkeeper will be big misses for their clubs during the competition and they will be out at the competition until at least February 6 if Senegal reach the final.

They are joined by fellow Premier League players Ismaila Sarr of Watford, Crystal Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate and Leicester's Nampalys Mendy in the group.

Sadio Mane will miss at least three Premier League games while he is at the AFCON
Chelsea will be without Edouard Mendy, who will start in goal for Senegal in the coming weeks

SENEGAL SQUAD:

Defenders: Koulibaly, Mbaye, Sarr, Seck, Ballo-Toure, Diallo, Saliou, Cisse

Midfielders: Gueye, Mendy, Sarr, Name, Ndiaye, P Gueye, Kouyate, Lopy

Forwards: Mane, Dia, I Sarr, Balde, Diedhiou, Diallo, Dieng, Thiam

Sarr is currently injured so will join up with the team later on depending on how much progress he makes with his recovery.
