Liverpool 3-1 Torino: Roberto Firmino, Gini Wijnaldum and Daniel Sturridge goals see Reds end pre-season in winning fashion after summer signing Fabinho missed early penalty

Liverpool finished pre-season in winning fashion against Torino thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino, Gini Wijnaldum and Daniel Sturridge.

The Reds, who named a strong team featuring the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, recovered from an early penalty miss from summer signing Fabinho to score twice in three first-half minutes through Firmino and Wijnaldum.

Italy striker Andrea Belotti pulled one back for Torino, but a much-changed Liverpool secod-half side secured the win through Daniel Sturridge on a night also notable for the warm reception received by previously under fire goalkeeper Loris Karius.
