Mohamed Salah wants to rewrite Liverpool’s record books but admitted he would swap all of his goals if it means he becomes a Champions League winner.
The Egypt international is having an astonishing first year at Anfield and struck his 40th goal in all competitions during the win over Bournemouth.
He is only the third Liverpool player to hit the mark and the first since Ian Rush in 1986-87. Rush sets the standard for Liverpool strikers but Salah is aiming to topple the Welshman and score another eight before the end of the campaign — to break the record for most goals in a season (47) that Rush achieved in 1983-84.
