Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital programme, is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of service for veterans, service members and their families.
The centre provides life-saving clinical care and support for post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, co-occuring substance use disorder, family relationship challenges and other issues associated with military service.
LFC Foundation staff met with clinicians at the centre to learn more about their programme and discuss LFC Foundation's own military veterans initiative.
Ten tickets for LFC’s pre-season game at Boston's Fenway Park stadium were also donated to the centre for patients to use.
