Before the tournament, there was also a workshop from John Au from the Anthony Walker Foundation on key topics such as equality and the prevention of hate crime.
The morning ended with a presentation from Kick It Out in which individual awards were given out such as Goal of the Day and Best Attitude Award, before each child was given a Kick It Out medal for their participation in the tournament and to remind them of the significance of equality and diversity.
In conjunction with the Premier League, the club’s official charity helps to deliver PE lessons to the youngsters in a host of locations in the city, including the Kirkby-based training facilities.
