Sixteen teams from local Merseyside primary schools competed in the annual event, which is the culmination of eight qualifying tournaments held from April to July.
The round-robin competition saw the teams split into four categories - Year 3-4 girls, Year 3 boys, Year 4 boys and Year 5 boys - with one side from each group taking home a winners’ trophy.
St Margaret Mary’s Catholic Junior School claimed victory in both the Year 3 and Year 5 boys' groups, while St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School and Park Brow Primary School were presented with the Year 4 boys' and the Year 3-4 girls' prizes respectively.
