Liverpool Football Club's official charity, LFC Foundation, has promoted its current director Matt Parish to the new role of chief executive officer.
Parish, who joined LFC Foundation in March 2019, will also take up a trustee role alongside his new position in recognition of the growth and development of the Foundation.
The new role as CEO will see Parish continue to accelerate the Foundation’s rapid expansion since he joined. The charity has seen an 80 per cent increase in the number of people engaged, from 15,000 to more than 28,000.
Its staff have also more than doubled from 25 to 60 in just over two years and, despite the impact of the pandemic, more than £315,000 has been raised recently by fans and partners to support local foodbanks, providing essential support to those in need.
