The Foundation’s football coaches will be utilising their relationships with Merseyside schools and local young people to support the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children charity in its ongoing commitment to educate children and adults about the signs of neglect and abuse and provide help to those that need it.
Jenny Stewart, interim head of LFC Foundation, said: “The NSPCC is without doubt the most well-informed and respected authority in child protection. The principles of their best practice guidelines in safeguarding are embodied in every aspect of the LFC Foundation’s work.
“We plan to use our excellent local connections to help capture the attention of children and adults alike and, alongside the expertise of the NSPCC, increase understanding around the important issues of child welfare and safety, encouraging anyone to speak out or seek help if they are worried.
