Leicester City v Liverpool sees hearse with 'RIP Football' driven around King Power Stadium as they prepare for first game since Claudio Ranieri sacking

Leicester City fans travelling to the King Power Stadium on Monday night will be reminded of the fate of their former manager Claudio Ranieri in the most unusual of ways.

A hearse, carrying the message 'RIP Football' in a flower arrangement, was driven around the town ahead of their Premier League tie against Liverpool.

In a stunt organised by betting company Paddy Power, the sombre protest even included an undertaker walking in front of a vehicle that is usually the preserve of funerals.

The Foxes' Thai owners sparked controversy last week after they sacked the Italian less than a year after he guided them to a miraculous 5,000-1 Premier League title win and replaced him with assistant manager Craig Shakespeare.
