Kyle Walker urges more consistency from Phil Foden after academy graduate inspired Man City victory at Everton... as the defender switches focus to the title race after 'drawing a line' under Club World Cup win

Manchester City captain Kyle Walker wants more consistency from a maturing Phil Foden after the academy graduate inspired the champions to a crucial win at Everton.

Foden took on creative responsibility in central midfield, scoring a stunning equaliser as City went within five points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

The 23-year-old has been used more in behind the striker more regularly this season, scoring nine goals and recording six assists.

Foden was criticised by Pep Guardiola for his role in throwing away a two-goal lead against Crystal Palace earlier this month but has since dazzled at the Club World Cup and now at Goodison Park.
