A pair of Jurgen Klopp's glasses, Virgil van Dijk's match-worn boots and video messages from club legends have been included in a time capsule buried at Liverpool's new training ground.

The steel capsule, which contains dozens of different items and is located outside the visitors' entrance to the AXA Training Centre, will be opened in 2070.

Liverpool have aimed to capture the spirit of the club's past and present so that future generations may gain a sense of their success.
