Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he likes Arne Slot's style of play with Feyenoord as he offered a warm endorsement of his expected successor.
The Reds have reached an agreement with the Dutch club for Slot to replace Klopp, who is leaving at the end of the season.
Slot confirmed on Thursday he hopes to get the Anfield job and that "the clubs are in negotiations".
That moved forward on Friday as it emerged terms for a £9.4m deal had been negotiated.
"I like a lot about it if he is the one who wants to take the job," said Klopp, who has not been involved in the process of finding his successor.
