A crowd of 23,500 made the Merseyside derby at Anfield earlier this month a day to remember.
It is believed to be the biggest crowd for a women’s football match on Merseyside for 99 years.
The LFC Women players met hundreds of fans long after the final whistle had blown, signing programmes, posing for pictures and handing out around 900 free scarves to mark the occasion from team sponsor Standard Chartered.
The team followed up with a 6-0 away victory over Blackburn Rovers Women in their Continental Cup clash at Bamber Bridge last Thursday night before a narrow 1-0 away reverse to champions Arsenal last weekend.
