Jürgen Klopp today greeted the positive news of Sir Kenny Dalglish being discharged from hospital – and admitted the impact of COVID-19 hit home when he discovered the Liverpool legend had been diagnosed with the virus.
Sir Kenny was admitted last Wednesday for treatment of an infection and was subsequently tested for coronavirus, in keeping with current procedures.
Although asymptomatic, Dalglish tested positive and remained in hospital until the weekend, when he returned home.
Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “It was a real shock three days ago when I heard about it first.
