Jurgen Klopp takes a swipe at fitness coach Raymond Verheijen and Liverpool's festive fixtures as they prepare for two games in 45 hours

Jurgen Klopp hit back at criticism of his training methods in a press-conference on Friday ahead of Liverpool's clash with Manchester United on Monday night.

The Reds manager was furious after the release of the latest television fixtures saw eight Liverpool matches rescheduled.

The publication of the televised games over the festive period has left Klopp incensed over the New Year's Eve date with Manchester City that has been moved from a 3pm kick-off to 5.30pm.

It means Liverpool will have a recovery period of less than 44 hours before going to Sunderland on January 2 for a match that will start at 3pm and Klopp, who has been named September's Premier League Manager of the Month, is furious.
