Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Darwin Nunez's performances for Benfica against Liverpool last season convinced him to sign the striker.
Klopp was already fully aware of Nunez's quality, but was left hugely impressed by the Uruguayan's displays in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Although Liverpool ended up reaching the last four, Nunez enhanced his reputation further by scoring in both legs.

That made it clear to Klopp that he had to sign Nunez and a £64million deal was eventually finalised last month.
