Jurgen Klopp has played down the severity of Alexis Mac Allister's injury after the Liverpool midfielder hobbled off in Liverpool's 4-3 friendly defeat against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Moments before the half-time whistle, with the scores locked at 2-2, Mac Allister went down in discomfort, as Andy Robertson called for the physio.
Replays showed the Argentine took a blow to the knee after a collision with Bayern's Konrad Laimer, and he had to be helped back to his feet before walking off unaided.
Klopp provided an update on his condition after full-time, revealing it was just a knock and that he did not want to take any risks with Liverpool's Premier League campaign getting underway in just 11 days when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
