Jurgen Klopp is running his Liverpool players into the ground, says Dutch fitness coach Raymond Verheijen

Jurgen Klopp is now facing the consequences of 'running his players into the ground in pre-season,' according to Dutch fitness coach Raymond Verheijen.

Liverpool were deservedly beaten 2-0 on aggregate by Southampton in the EFL Cup semi-final, four days after the side surprisingly lost 3-2 to Swansea at Anfield.

The Merseyside club are 10 points adrift of Premier League leaders Chelsea, and Verheijen - who claimed last July that Klopp's methods 'destroy' his players - has reopened an old wound on Twitter.
