Jurgen Klopp confirms Virgil van Dijk is out for 'MORE than a month' with hamstring injury...but the Liverpool boss admits it was his decision to take him off against Brentford

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Virgil van Dijk has been ruled out for 'more than a month' with a hamstring injury.

However, the Liverpool boss did admit that it was his decision to take him off at half-time during the Reds' 3-1 defeat at Brentford.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool's FA Cup tie with Wolves, Klopp said: 'In the end the diagnosis was pretty harsh: weeks, more than a month. We hope it goes quick.

'We talk about weeks, more than a month.'

But he added: 'I took him off actually - in the end the diagnosis was pretty harsh.
