Jurgen Klopp admits he is 'gutted' to lose Pepijn Lijnders from coaching staff as Dutchman departs to become new Nijmegen manager

Jurgen Klopp admitted his is 'gutted' to lose Liverpool coach Pepijn Lijnders who has left to take over as head coach of Dutch side NEC Nijmegen.

Lijnders arrived at Anfield in 2014 to take charge of the club's Under-16s.

He was then appointed first team development coach during the summer of 2015 and then elevated to new boss Jurgen Klopp's staff later that year.

Klopp told the club's website: 'It's such a strange mix of emotions talking about Pep leaving us.
