The return to action of Joe Gomez is the equivalent of Jürgen Klopp making a new signing, former Liverpool defender Phil Babb believes.
Gomez has not featured for the Reds' first team since October 2015 after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on international duty with England U21s and then an Achilles problem during his recovery.
After making six appearances for Liverpool's U23s over the last six weeks or so, the teenager is in line to play for Klopp for the first time in tomorrow's FA Cup third-round tie with Plymouth Argyle at Anfield.
