Jarell Quansah breaks his silence on struggling to break into Liverpool's team under Arne Slot as the 21-year-old admits this season has been 'tough'

Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah says he is trying to not get ‘too low with the lows’ after what he admits has been a tough season on a personal level.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar breakthrough campaign last year, playing 33 times for the first team despite only making his debut in late August.

He was often picked as the starting defender alongside Virgil van Dijk and won a call-up to an England camp from Gareth Southgate.

He looked to be going from strength to strength after starring in pre-season and starting the first league game of this term, away at Ipswich.
